Where is the Love?
Well, I've been unemployed for 10 months now. Though I'm not starving, there's still something inside me that's missing. I just cannot point to it. My previous employer did not let go of me, they would have preferred for me to stay a little bit, but it was time to leave and move on. Sometimes I regret the decision. Other times I feel good that I made up my mind. Comparing my life now and before when I have that job, I see just a little difference. Only now is better... knowing that somebody is really enjoying my company!
I've been wondering if that something that I feel is missing inside me is to have a real job. You know that thing - you wake up every morning, get ready and actually know what you need to do for the day. I have been applying to all the jobs that makes me feel like the job description really fits me and I know deep in my heart that I can do it but, I've been doing it for 8 months and still, I got no offer. I have been to 8 interviews (yes, I have a record!) which all seem promising to me, but then again, I was always wrong because after a week or two, I get an email thanking me for the time I spent to meet with them and urging me to just keep on applying to their job openings.
I hate to think that the reason why I am not getting hired in this area is because of my color, which reminds me of what Curt Harlow was stressing out while he was talking to us last December which I summarize it to something like this: "white people will verbally say they are not against any race, but deep in their hearts, they are screaming against any other color." I don't want to believe it but as a human being, I can't deny the fact that I am currently experiencing what he had just said at that conference. I'm actually beginning to think that I just probably got called in for interview because my name sounds like a white girl after carrying my husbands' last name. Reality hurts.
Anyhow, I still believe that God is working in His mysterious ways. I believe He has reasons why He don't let the door open yet. I trust in Him. He has better plans for me. I firmly believe that He wants me to prosper...I just have to wait and keep the faith because everything happens according to His timeline.

Friday Fill-Ins #1
Here comes my first Friday Fill-Ins!
1. When it comes to make a decision, I panic!

3. Ma says, just choose one: go to school or get married.
4. I can't have a chocolate cake at the same time drink a chocolate milkshake.
5. I never saw Barack Obama in person and I have no intention to meet him :)
6. Use the TV remote effectively! That's not a new invention.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to watching a movie while eating popcorn, tomorrow my plans include doing the laundry and ironing, and Sunday, I want to have my nails done!

Not a good day...
Yep. Not a good day for both of us. Worst for hubby. It actually started last night an hour after we went to bed. Hubby had a reflux and it went on all night long because he forgot to take his purple pill. He'd probably dozed off for 15mins and the reflux would wake him up. Then came the morning. His stomach got achy...and the runs started it all...
Five hours later, the runs stopped. But his back started to get sore. He had this perennial lower back problem that usually comes back when he is not doing anything. Been to the doctor several times to have it checked but they can't seem to find anything wrong. Results shows normal. One of the doctor said it's muscle spasm...sign of wisdom! :-)
As of this writing, he is feeling a little better, though he has not eaten anything yet. I told him what I used to do when I get sick - go back to sleep and you will be good as new when you get up...but he is not buying it! Wish he's a 5 years old kid who listens to their mother attentively.

If you've started to wonder what the real costs of socialism are going to be - once the full program in these United States hits your wallet, take a look at the table. As you digest these mind-boggling figures, keep in mind that in spite of these astronomical tax rates, these countries are still not financing their social welfare programs exclusively from tax revenues! They are deeply mired in public debt of gargantuan proportions. Greece has reached the point where its debt is so huge it is in imminent danger of defaulting. That is the reason the European economic community has intervened to bail them out. If you're following the financial news, you know Spain and Portugal are right behind Greece.
Obama stated: "We are going to FUNDAMENTALLY CHANGE America". We are now heading right down the same path. The VAT tax in the table is the national sales tax that Europeans pay. Stay tuned because that is exactly what you can expect to see the administration proposing after the 2012 elections. The initial percentage in the United States isn't going to be anywhere near the outrageous numbers you now see in Europe . Guess what...the current outrageous numbers in Europe didn't start out as outrageous either. They started out as minuscule - right around the 1% or 2% where they will start out in the United States. Magically, however, they ran up over the years to where they are now. Expect the same thing here.

It is the very notion that with hard work and perseverance, anybody can get ahead economically here in the USA. Do you think that can ever happen with tax rates between 60% and 80%? Think again. With the government taking that percentage of your money, your life will be exactly like life in Europe... You will never be able to buy a home. You will never buy a car. You will never send your children to college. Let's not shuffle the battle cry of the socialists under the rug either. It's always the same cry. Equalize income. Redistribute the wealth. Tax the Rich (whoever they are). Level the economic playing field. Accomplish that and everything will be rosy.
It's time to take a really hard look at reality. Greece is a perfect example. Despite the socialism system that has ruled this country for decades, with a 65% tax rate, they are drowning in public debt, would have defaulted without hundreds of billions in bailout money from the EU, and still. . . 20% of their population lives in poverty. What has all that socialism money bought, besides ultimate power for the politicians running the show? Do you think these people are "free"? They're not. They are slaves to their economic "system".
Instead of spreading the wealth around, spread this info around. It might wake up some people.
